ALJON! Why not switch to Facebook rather than using Friendster? Anyway, here are some reasons why you should migrate to FACEBOOK.

1. Applications that are just plain worthless. Look, I use Friendster to keep track of my friends. If I would want to play those apps, I could buy a DVD from Quiapo full of Yahoo Games. So please, stop sending those invites to me - I ignore it and it’s cluttering my inbox.

2. Sucky user interface. Your friend list shows only the given names of your list. Therefore, I’m having a hard time picking out who’s who with the 6 “Michelles” and 8 “Marks” in my list.

3. Fake accounts of people I personally know. I’m sure and I’m willing to bet my license on it that JVee Casio didn’t sign up for ten Friendster accounts. To make it worse, even Coach Franz Pumaren has two.

4. The comments became impersonal. Long before graphics were allowed in comments, testimonials were not spam. Honest words about you that come from honest people. Now, you will see all types of Disney characters with bling-blings and “cuddly” mammals such as Barney and Snoopy. Just a tip, I would appreciate more if you would post Kiko Matsing and Pong Pagong singing “tinapang bangus” in your comments.

5. Friendster became a spam-creating network. Everytime I open my friendster account, new messages appear with headings like “I saw you naked on this link” or “Play Texas Hold Em”. Everything is spam. To add to the trauma, everyone’s posting worms on your page that is posed as a fake YouTube video of a girl half-naked: “My Webcam is Finally Working, and I want you to come and see me.” I’m sure a lot of you fell for that. By the way, the Texas Hold Em thing was the last straw.

Do yourself a favor, leave this heaven-forsaken community and switch to Facebook, where everything is clean and spam is not tolerated.
